2021/22 Ghana Premier League matchday 11: Hagan Frimpong’s solitary strike gives Accra Lions victory against Legon Cities
Young attacker Hagan Frimpong scored to hand Accra Lions victory on Monday afternoon when the team defeated Legon Cities FC 1-0 in the Ghana Premier League.
Despite a difficult spell in December, Accra Lions appear to be finding their fight gradually under their new head coach.
In the first game in 2022 today, the club played as a guest to Legon Cities FC at the Accra Sports Stadium.
At the end of what was a matchday 11 clash of the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League season, Accra Lions have secured all three points thanks to an equalizer from Hagan Frimpong in the 52nd minute.
Courtesy of today’s three points, Accra Lions have climbed to 10th on the Ghana Premier League table.
Meanwhile, Legon Cities FC are now in the relegation zone with just 10 points from the first 11 matches of the season.
