2021/22 Ghana Premier League matchday 9: WAFA scores late to defeat Medeama SC 1-0
WAFA SC on Sunday afternoon scored late to defeat Medeama SC 1-0 in the Ghana Premier League.
The Sogakope-based club prior to today’s home game had gone three matches without a win where they dropped nine points after suffering three successive defeats.
Facing an opponent that had won its last two matches, WAFA SC had to labour through the 90 minutes to get away with points from Medeama SC.
Fortunately, the hosts had the men to face the opponent with Emmanuel Agyemang scoring in added time to secure a narrow win for the side.
The victory has seen WAFA SC making the first step to climb out of the relegation zone of the Ghana Premier League standings.
The team needs to pick confidence from today’s game to ensure they win more games to amass the needed points to continue the rise.
