Asumah Abubakar-Ankrah nets in Lugano’s 1-1 draw against FC Basel
Ghanaian forward Asumah Abubakar-Ankrah was on target for FC Lugano in their 1-1 draw in the Swiss Super League on Sunday against FC Basel.
Abubakar netted in the second half to snatch a point for his team at home after going down earlier in the game.
Brazilian forward Arthur Mendonça Cabral opened the scoring of the match to put the visitors ahead in the 29th minute.
Abubakar levelled for Lugano fourteen minutes after the break after connecting a pass from Uruguayan midfielder Jonathan Sabbatini.
Abubakar was replaced in the 67th minute by Swiss youngster Christopher Lungoyi.
The 24-year-old has netted 2 goals in 5 appearances since the beginning of the 2021/2022 campaign of the Swiss top-flight.
