Bechem United were defensively organized – Asante Kotoko coach Prosper Narteh Ogum
Asante Kotoko coach Prosper Narteh Ogum has said that Bechem United were defensively organized which prevented the Porcupine Warriors from playing the penetrating passes in the course of the game.
The Ghanaian giants left it late against the Hunters at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday in matchday 2 of the Ghana Premier League.
Captain Abdul Ganiyu scored from the spot before Samuel Boateng head home the second goal to seal the victory on home turf.
At the post-match conference, Ogum said, “It was a very good game and victory against Bechem United is good for me because if you look at how tactical the game was, they were very defensively organized and because of that they didn’t allow us to play those penetrative passes and it was difficult for us to actually get the ball behind their defense”
The Porcupine Warriors seems to be leaving it late after two games, however, Prosper Narteh reacting to it said, “We still keep to our game plan and we always trust in our process even when it is difficult we trust that we can still score so no matter the situation we don’t change our style. We keep to the shape, game plan and keep to the principles involved in the game plan” he said.
Asante Kotoko have won all points from the first two games of the Ghana Premier League and will hope to maintain their good start to the season.
