Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers pleased with Daniel Amartey’s performance this season
Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers is pleased with the performance of Daniel Amartey so far this season.
Amartey has been outstanding for the Foxes, having helped them beat Manchester City to clinch the FA Community Shield as well as picking ul all three points in their opening game of the Premier League season against Wolves.
The Ghanaian has so far made two appearances and kept two clean sheets.
“We’ll see,” said Rodgers in a pre-match conference. “I was pleased with him coming into the game last weekend. He showed his class and composure. He’s still obviously not up to speed, fitness-wise, but we’ll assess that over the next couple of days.
“Daniel Amartey has been outstanding in the games he’s played and he fills in a number of positions for us, but we’ll see where Jannik’s at in the next few days and take it from there.”
Daniel Amartey joined Leicester City in January 2016 and has won the Premier League, FA Cup and Community Shield.
