Benab FC defeat City Football Academy to reignite Middle League hopes

Benab FC registered their third win of the season in the Ashanti Regional Division Two League with a 3-0 win over high-flying Citi Football Academy.

The “Everything by God”  side put up a great second half performance to hand Citi Football Academy their first defeat of the campaign at the Atonsu Astro turf on Wednesday.

Benab FC despite dominating the first half could not find the back of the net as they were denied by wonderful goalkeeping from the Citi Football Academy goalie.

In the second half, Benab FC came back more determined looking to break the deadlock.

Isreal Opoku broke the deadlock of the game with a fine finish following a good work by Abdul Manan Zakari.

Benab FC doubled their lead few minutes later,  Manan Abdul Manan Zakaria tapped home a cross from the right side to make it 2-0 for the visitors.

Emmanuel Osei Asibey put the game to bed for Benab FC finishing home a fine pass from the right side.

Benab held on to their lead till the blast of the final whistle.

The win is a massive boost for Benab FC who have now moved to fourth on the league standings with just two points separating them with the leaders Kaase Young Chelsea.
