Black Stars aiming to make amends against Zimbabwe after SA defeat
The Black Stars were beaten 1-0 in their second FIFA World Cup 2022 qualifying game against South Africa on 6th September at the FNB Stadium.
Bafana Bafana’s Bongokuhle Hlongwane scored the only goal in the 83rd minute.
Ghana saw a lot of the ball in the first 20 minutes of the game at the FNB Stadium then it was all South Africa till full time.
The Bafana Bafana pressed and controlled the midfield so effectively Ghana couldn’t mount any proper attack.
With the appointment of Serbian tactician Milovan Rajevac on Friday, Ghana is set to correct its mistakes in the game against South Africa.
The Black Stars next game in the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers is a doubleheader against Zimbabwe next month.
These crucial games will be a welcome test for returning Milovan Rajevac and zero mistakes are highly expected because Ghana is currently second in group G with three points after two games (won against Ethiopia) level on points with Ethiopia.
