Black Stars friendly on Tuesday won’t come on – Henry Asante Twum
According to GFA Director of Communications on Asempa FM’s SportsNite broadcast, the Black Stars’ training game against an unknown club in Doha, Qatar, has been scrapped.
According to a schedule released by the Ghana FA last week, the Black Stars will play a friendly game on Tuesday as Serbian coach Milovan Rajevac prepares his side for the 2021 AFCON.
However, owing to a variety of issues, including player absence and scheduling conflicts, the Black Stars have scrapped the friendly game.
“Per the current situation, it is unlikely the friendly the game will come on tomorrow,” Henry Asante Twum, told the Asempa FM’s SportsNite crew.
Currently, nine players and two goalkeepers have reported to the Black Stars camp.
The Ghana Football Association disclosed that the Black Stars will play three friendlies in Doha, Qatar. With Tuesday’s game scrapped the team will have two friendlies to test their sharpness for the tournament.
