Boakye Yiadom nets brace, Jordan Ayew scores as Black Stars hammer Golden Kicks 5-1
It was a good exercise for Black Stars strikers on Monday evening when the national team engaged lower-tier side Golden Kicks in a friendly encounter.
Ghana has today opened camp to prepare for the final matches in Group G of the African qualifiers to the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
Leading the team to play a friendly match today, coach Milovan Rajevac gave his strikers minutes to show him what they are made of.
In a game where Golden Kicks took an early lead, striker Richmond Boakye Yiadom netted a brace later in the first half to give the Black Stars a 2-1 lead.
Subsequently, the Black Stars dominated and scored three more goals through Jordan Ayew, Caleb Ekuban, and Abdul Fatawu Issahaku to cruise to a huge 5-1 win against the Division Two Champions.
After today’s friendly, the Black Stars are expected to have a rest before the team travels to South Africa on Tuesday to continue preparations for the game against Ethiopia on November 11.
