Samuel Obeng sends hopeful message to teammate
Real Oviedo striker Samuel Obeng commented on Monday about the unpleasant taste in the team’s mouth as a result of the surprise draw against Huesca after winning by three goals to zero.
Obeng admits that the Carbayon team “didn’t know how to manage the score in their favour”.
Despite the fact that the team’s mood, he admits, is one of “failure” after missing a vital opportunity to reclaim the top places in the league, the striker is optimistic about the upcoming game.
“A point is always better than nothing, but it’s time to do well at El Plantío. It won’t affect having drawn, it’s part of the game and we just have to raise our heads and continue with our goal this weekend”.
The Ghanaian striker managed to score his fifth goal with the Oviedo jersey thanks to a spectacular Chilean goal. “He was not the most special of my career, but perhaps the most beautiful,” said the striker.
Obeng hadn’t scored for four months, which has been an injection of optimism both for him and for the Oviedo team: “I’m happy to find myself scoring again, I hadn’t scored for a long time and I know the team needs more goals, both from me and of the rest, with which to be able to contribute to add three by three”.
