Board member of Asante Kotoko Boateng Gemfi urges the media to be factual in their reportage
Board member of Asante Kotoko, Mr. Keadwo Boateng Gyemfi has advised the Ghanaian media to be accurate and truthful in their reportage on the club’s issues.
According to him, most of the stories report by the media are mere speculation and calculated attempt by some media houses to smear the reputation of the club.
He indicated that there is the need that the media be responsible and truthful in their reportage on issues surrounding the club for the holistic development of the club.
“Kotoko is a big team and there is no denying fact that the spirit behind the team is great. Otumfour handed the team to us, we have not slept over it as reported, ” he told Hello FM in Kumasi.
“If I’m to tell you the amount of money the board members have given to support the club you’ll not believe it.
“We’re doing our best. We will complete all projects we have promised to put up before our time comes to an end.
“We will call on the media fraternity to support us. The speculations on the part of the media are too much. Some create stories that don’t exist and that’s worrying. We don’t know how you get that information. Some of them are untrue.
The Buisness Mogul also pleaded on the media to give them the peace of mind to work.
“Give us the peace of mind to work. Because we’re doing the work for Asanteman and everyone.
“It’s the media and the supporters who can assist us to be successful but always we hear about stories that are lies. Some even say the board of directors are fighting. They are all false and honestly, I don’t know where it’s coming from, ” he concluded.
