Boateng and Balotelli gave their all for AC Monza- Franco Lepore
Former AC Monza full back Franco Lepore has stated that Ghanaian duo Kevin-Prince Boateng and Mario Balotelli gave their best during their short stint at the Serie B side.
Boateng joined for a full season whilst Balotelli joined in January with the goal of sealing promotion into the Serie A.
Unfortunately, the goal was not accomplished as the team placed third on the league log and were knocked out of the playoffs.
“In my opinion, the big mistake was sending me away in January (laughs ed), joking aside, players like Boateng and Balotelli are exceptional people who gave everything we could do for the Monza shirt, unfortunately for very little we managed to go to Serie A,” Franco stated on the 7 Gold Calciomercato Estate broadcast.
Boateng now plays for Hertha Berlin whilst Balotelli has moved to Turkey.
