Duah hints at Da Rocha return to Ashgold

Coach of Ashanti Gold SC, Thomas Duah has hinted of a possible return to the club for former Brazillian trainer Ricardo Da Rocha.

Da Rocha who was Ashgold’s boss in 2019 but left his post after six months in charge was spotted on the technical bench of the miners during Sunday’s MTN FA Cup Semi-finals against Berekum Chelsea.

Duah who was appointed as caretaker boss until the end of the season disclosed Da Rocha is in the country to help the team at the moment as he’s a part of the Ashgold family.

He however also revealed a return to join the miners’ technical team for the Brazillian is also on the cards.

“Ricardo is Ashgold’s former Coach and he’s here to help us” – Thomas Duah told FMIG.

“He is here to help but not to take over from me. His license isn’t ready at the moment. So for now he supports us [Ashgold] because he was our former Coach and is a part of the Ashgold family” – Duah added.
