Former Ghana U20 captain Ishaku Konda signs for Estonian top-flight side Paide Linnameeskand
Estonian top-flight side Paide Linnameeskand have announced the signing of former Ghana U20 captain Ishaku Konda.
Konda joins the club after ending his loan spell FC Juniors OÖ in the Austrian Premier League.
The 21- year old sealed his move on Friday after his parents club Asokwa Deportivo agreed terms with the Estonian club.
The former Wa All Stars defender expressed his delight after completing his move.
“I am happy to be able to join one of the best clubs in Estonia and of course I want to fight Paide for the title this year. I try to bring leadership qualities to the team, help build a powerful line of defense and develop further as a player to be the best defenders in Premium too.
Sports Director Gert Kams was full of praise for the Ghanaian defender : Ishaku Konda brings the power, competition and depth of our line of defense. Ishaku is a central defender who has all the necessary qualities to stand out in today’s football – he is physically capable, aggressive, with good defensive properties and acting with a brave ball. It can be added that the player has developed clear leadership qualities, as he has been entrusted as a captain in the youth teams of a very strong football country, Ghana.
