Ghana defender Joseph Aidoo in line to feature for Celta Vigo against Villarreal today

Ghana defender Joseph Aidoo could be starting for his Celta Vigo outfit this afternoon when the team takes on Villarreal.

The strong central defender since the start of the 2021/2022 season has not played much in the Spanish La Liga.

However, after picking up and playing in some games, the defender was invited by Ghana head coach Milovan Rajevac for the final two World Cup qualifying matches in Group G.

Having shown his quality in training, Joseph Aidoo played for the Black Stars in the 1-1 draw against Ethiopia.

He was subsequent dropped to the bench when Ghana beat South Africa 1-0 to advance to the final round of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers.

With the player traveling back to Spain, he has trained very well with Celta Vigo and is in line to even start to the team when they face Villarreal in the Spanish La Liga today.

The crucial game will kick off at 13:00GMT.
