Harrison Afful open to Black Stars return to work under Milovan Rajevac again
Columbus Crew defender, Harrison Afful has spoken highly of new Ghana head coach Milovan Rajevac and says he will love to have the opportunity to play under him again.
The full-back has in recent times been overlooked when it comes to national team call-ups for international assignments.
Reminiscing his early days at the Black Stars where he worked with Milovan Rajevac, Harrison Afful says he will like to play under the Serbian tactician in his second stint.
“Working with Milovan gives you a great professional experience,” the experienced defender told BBC Sport Africa.
Afful continued, “He’s experienced and intelligent so it’s easy to understand what he means most of the time, even without his translator. If the opportunity presents itself, I’d like to work with him again.”
The US-based defender will be watching on TV on Saturday when Milovan Rajevac plays his first Ghana match after his return.
The gaffer will take charge of the match against Zimbabwe in the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
