Hugo Broos uncertain if South Africa will progress despite Ghana victory
South Africa Hugo Broos is uncertain if the side will progress to the next stage of the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers despite defeating Ghana.
The Bafana Bafana inflicted a 1-0 win over the Black Stars in matchday two of the qualifiers at the FnB stadium courtesy, Bongokuhle Hlongwane strike in the dying embers of the game.
South Africa currently sits top of the table with 4 points and are being trailed by Ghana who has 3 points.
Despite beating the Black Stars, the experience trainer remains uncertain if the Bafana Bafana will progress from G.
“We have four points from six now. A few days ago I said if we get four from six I’d be happy but I thought that we could win in Zimbabwe and play a draw against Ghana. But it’s the opposite now and I’m not unhappy about that.
“We will see, if we can go on like this and make progress like we did this week, we will see where we will end up at the end of the race.”
Ethiopia will take on Zimbabwe on Tuesday in their second group game.
