Karela United sign James Mensah on two-year deal

Karela United have completed the signing of midfielder James Mensah from Division Two side, IBT FC ahead of the new season which kicks off later this month.

Mensah joins the club on a two-year deal after successful negotiations.

After putting pen to paper, he said, “I’m excited about the new opportunity and ready to give my all to help the club come next season.”

“I am grateful to IBT FC for everything they did for me. I wish them the very best and hope to see them in the premier league one day,” he added as quoted by Ghanasoccernet.com.

The highly-rated midfielder was one of the standout players for IBT FC last season in Division Two.

He attracted interest from several clubs including some clubs in Spain and Serbia before finally sealing a move to Karela United.

Mensah will hope to hit the ground running at the Ayinase based club when the season commences on October 29.
