I believe in Black Stars Afcon rookies – Skipper Andre Ayew
Andre Ayew, Black Stars skipper, has stated that he believes in the players who will make their debuts at the 33rd Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.
Speaking to the media before Ghana’s first group C game against the Atlas Lions, the former Swansea attacker restated his support for them and believes they will play an important part if Ghana is to win the tournament after 40 years.
“These guys have the opportunity to prove themselves to the world and we are there to help them, we try to let them understand what an AFCON means,” he said.
“I believe in them because they have what it takes to be here so I know they will make it and we are here to guide them,” he added.
The Black Stars will start their campaign against Morocco on Monday, January 10 at 4:00 pm before facing Gabon and Comoros in the remaining Group C fixtures.
