Legon Cities unveil Victorien Adebayor
Ghana Premier League side Legon Cities have unveiled Nigerien star Victorien Adebayor.
The former Inter Allies attacker joins the club on loan from Danish side HB Koge. He signed a deal that keeps him at the club until December 2021.
Present at the ceremony was head coach of the club Bashir Hayford and head of Communications Kwame Dwomoh Agyemang.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Nigerien attacker vowed to help the team to survive in the top-flight league.
“They are down in the league and Legon Cities know why they came for me and so my target is to help the team as much as I can.”
Coach of the side Bashiru Hayford hailed the acquisition of the player and express believe he will boost his attack.
“We all know him very well and what he can do. I think he can add a lot to my attack,” he said. “He definitely completes my attack,” added the gaffer.
Adebayor joins Asamoah Gyan and Hans Kwoffie as big name signings at Legin Cities.
