Let’s push positive energy to the public space – Kurt Okraku to media

Ghana FA President Kurt Okraku has entreated the media to be positive about the Black Stars in order to achieve a common goal.

The Black Stars have failed to win a major silverware since 1982 despite coming close to ending the trophy drought in the last decade, 2010 Angola losing to Egypt in the finals and in 2015 Equatorial Guinea- Gabon as the Stars lost to Ivory Coast on penalty shootout.

With the FA appointing Serbian trainer Milovan Rajevac to lead the Black Stars for the second time, Kurt Okraku has asked the media to be positive about the national team.

“We only have only one Black Stars and we must support the team. Let think positive and believe it can be done and let’s be positive about our Black Stars because this is what we have”

“We shouldn’t spew negativity and let’s be supportive for our team. If we qualify for the World Cup, we all will enjoy the benefits. Let’s push that positive energy to the public space” he said.

Rajevac replaces Charles Akonnor who was sacked about 11 days ago following a defeat to South Africa in the 2022 World Cup qualifications.

The Serbian will be assisted by Borussia Dortmund’s Head of Talent Development Otto Addo as well as former Asante Kotoko head coach Maxwell Konadu.
