Asante Kotoko to earn Ghc250,000 for winning 2021/22 Ghana Premier League – Prosper Harrison Addo
General Secretary of the Ghana Football Association [GFA], Prosper Harrison Addo has confirmed that Asante Kotoko will take home Ghc250,000.00 as champions of the Ghana Premier League.
The Porcupine Warriors have won the topflight for the first time in seven years under Prosper Narteh Ogum.
The Reds will be crowned this weekend at the Baba Yara Stadium when they play relegated Elmina Sharks in the matchday 33 games.
However, Harrison Addo speaking in an interview confirmed that the Kotoko take home two hundred and fifty thousand cedis and debunks reports that the prize money has been increased for now.
“What I know for now is that Kotoko will earn 250000 GH for winning this year’s Ghana Premier League,” he told Kumasi-based Akoma FM.
“I have to cross-check and see if it has been increased to 575000 GH,” he added.
Hearts of Oak who won the 2020/21 Premier League title took home two hundred and fifty thousand cedis.
