Losing 2-1 against Napoli hurts – Alfred Duncan
At the end of the match of the Franchi, lost 2-1 against Napoli, Alfred Duncan spoke to the microphones of the official Fiorentina channel
Yesterday, at the Franchi, the Viola played against Napoli. Fiorentina played a good match, but failed to avoid defeat. The Viola got off to a great start with Martinez Quarta’s goal, but Lozano and Rrahmani’s goals turned the match upside down.
As happened against the Nerazzurri and the Giallorossi, there is a lot of regret for not having obtained even a point. After the break, the guys from Italiano will play against Venezia away from home.
But before thinking about matchday eight, let’s hear Alfred Duncan’s statements in yesterday’s post game.
”Losing like this hurts. As already happened, the team starts well and then dies halfway. This shouldn’t happen but we are still at the beginning and there is time to improve. We are learning new things and new ideas. On this aspect we must grow quickly because we will need it for the future ”. Duncan continued.
”We have to try to manage certain moments of the race better because it is fundamental. We lacked a bit of clarity, we lost a lot of balls, even compared to other games. There was less communication, this hurt us. Words of Italian? We looked at each other, we have to be realistic with ourselves. The coach is angry like us and he does well, because we need to reflect on these defeats,”
Finally, the midfielder spoke about the upcoming engagements. ”Many go to the national team and there is less time. Unfortunately, I have small problems and I can’t go, I have to take this time to try to heal myself well and recover ”. But let’s go back to talking about the transfer market. Should Dusan Vlahovic fail to renew, the club would have its eye on three possible replacements. That’s who I am. Let’s start from the first,”
