AshantiGold SC handed Bechem United a sound beating at Obuasi during their Ghana Premier League Match Week 21 encounter.

The Miners welcomed the Hunters to the Len Clay Stadium on Sunday for this crunch fixture and made sure of a result, good enough to see them usurp their opponents on the league table.

The home side got things rolling right from the start with three first half goals.

Yaw Annor opened the scoring after just 11 minutes for Ashgold before captain Amos Addai doubled the lead from the spot 5 minutes later.

Bechem United looked stubbed and their misery was compounded when Ashgold made it three just before the break.

AshantiGold SC returned from the first half break stronger but a bit relaxed now considering their 3-0 cushion.

Bechem’s gloomy day was made more worse when they were reduced numerically to ten men.

Ashgold made sure of the result later with second half substitute David Abagna Sandan scored to make it 4 nil.

A beaten and battered Bechem have now shipped in 8 goals in their last two visits to Obuasi and will not fancy another trip to the Len Clay Stadium any time soon.
