Nigeria chief coach Emmanuel Amuneke confident about World Cup qualification chances

Nigeria coach Emmanuel Amuneke is confident about the Super Eagles World Cup qualification chances.

The Super Eagles will play their West African rival Ghana in a crucial World Cup final round qualifiers in march.

Ghana will host the first leg in Cape Coast, while the second leg will be played at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja.

The winner of both legs will secure qualification to the World Cup slated for November and December this year in Qatar.

The Nigeria Football Federation recently appointed Amuneke and Augustine Eguavoen to lead the team for the Ghana clash.

According to Amuneke, his side will be in good shape for the clash and is confident about their qualification.

“Our mind now is on the game against Ghana, the AFCON is gone and even the least person on the street wants the Super Eagles to be in Qatar, I think that spirit and motivation, the positive vibes from everyone in the country will go a long way to help us.”

“We can qualify surely, but we will need to do all the things needful. In football, there are so many things and those at times determine the success of a team. ”

“Hopefully, when the time comes, Nigeria will be in a good position to compete with Ghana. It’s a known fact about the rivalry between Nigeria and Ghana and whether we like it or not, we are brothers. ” he said.
