"Only four players will remain at Kotoko if.." - Johnson Smith

Assistant coach of Asante Kotoko, Johnson Smith says he will only work with four players in the current squad if he is made permanent coach.

The Porcupine Warriors have had a season to forget following their failure to win any trophy in the just ended season.

After losing the league title to their sworn rivals, the Porcupines were booted out of the MTN FA Cup in the quarter finals stage by Berekum Chelsea.

Johnson Smith believes the players are not up to the standard of Asante Kotoko.

“If am to be allowed to do my own recruitment and accessment with this current Kotoko team, only four (4) of the current players excluding the goalkeepers will stay,” he said on Westgold FM.
