World Cup play-off: Nigeria forward Victor Osimhen declares readiness for Ghana clash

Nigeria forward Victor Osimhen has declared his side readiness for the blockbuster clash against Ghana in the World Cup play-off.

The Super Eagles will play the Black Stars in a two-legged encounter with the winner securing one of the five slots on the African continent.

The first leg of the titanic qualifying tie will be played March 25 at the Baba Yara Stadium before the reverse encounter on March 29 at the Moshood Abiola national stadium in Abuja.

Osimhen, who has been on top form Italian Serie A side Napoli in an interview declared the Super Eagles readiness for the much-anticipated game.

“We are ready for this encounter. The players called up are ready to give their all, but the game would not be easy of course, no team is easy in Africa.

“We have been surprised by the Central African Republic and of course, we are ready for this game.

“We want to go there and get the win if possible and we know for sure that we will do everything possible to get the win and qualify for Qatar.”

Nigeria are in search of their 7th World Cup qualification and will have to edge past the Black Stars to be in Qatar.

The 2022 FIFA World Cup will be staged in the Asian country between November and December this year.
