Match Report: Liberty Professionals 3-2 Karela United- Scientific Soccer lads climb out of relegation zone
Liberty Professionals edged Karela United in a pulsating five goal thriller at Sogakope on Sunday.
Abraham Wayo opened the floodgates early in the game to give the Scientific Soccer lads a 12th minute lead.
Three minutes later, Diawise Taylor pounced on an error in defense to draw Karela level with his 17th goal of the season.
Liberty however regained the lead before half time through a penalty which was converted by Kwaku Karikari.
After the recess, Karela’s Liberian attacker Varney Sando scored in the 70th to restore parity.
Just when the game looked destined to end in a draw, Evans Owusu scored the winner in the 76th minute to give Liberty all three points.
The win takes the Dansoman based side from the relegation zone to 14th on the league standings.
