Felix Afena Gyan’s brace powers AS Roma U18 to Campionato Nazionale final
Young Ghanaian striker Felix Afena Gyan scored twice in Roma U18’s 6-0 win over Atalanta U18 on Saturday in the semi-final of the Italian U18 Youth Championship.
Gyan put Roma ahead in the 20th minute after converting a square pass from midfielder Ricardo Paganoo.
Gyan then completed his brace in the 67th minute to make it 4-0 for Roma after Cassano had scored the third.
Roma continued to run riot as two late goals meant the game will finish at 6-0, handing them a place in the final of Campionato Nazionale.
Gyan was invited to be part of AS Roma’s U18 over the weekend after his exploits in the just ended Primavera season where he scored 4 goals and provided two assists in 14 games for the U19 side.
The 18-year-old will hope his brilliant start to his Roma spell will be enough to break through the first team next season.
