Ghana winger Christian Atsu marks Al-Raed debut in defeat to Spanish club Ibiza
Ghana international, Christian Atsu was in action for Saudi side Al-Raed Club on Thursday when the team engaged Spanish outfit Ibiza in a pre-season friendly match.
The Black Stars winger earlier this month sealed a move to the Saudi Pro League club on a free transfer after ending his stay in England with Newcastle United when his contract with the side expired.
Having had the chance to train with the team, Christian Atsu yesterday debuted for Al-Raed Club.
In a game against Spanish lower-tier outfit UD Ibiza, the attacker was given the chance to play in the second half when he was introduced.
Unfortunately, he ended up on the losing side with Ibiza cruising to a 2-0 win at the end of the exercise.
Christian Atsu, 29, on the matchday look fit and is keen on getting into the best shape before the 2021/2022 football season commences in Saudi Arabia.
