The Greater Accra’s representative of this year’s Ghana Most Beautiful, Naa Dedei Botchwey who was adjudged the winner of the reality programme on Sunday has disclosed that she made preparations for her win prior to her entry into the pageant.
Bent on using the GMB platform to promote her inclusive education project, the staff of Publicis Groupe, a marketing and advertising firm said she assembled a tall list of professionals including the popular playwright Latif Abubakar who worked behind the scene to ensure her victory.
“I came prepared, I came prepared”, Naa Dedei Botchwey said in an interview on TV3 New Day on Monday, September 21, 2020.
Other members of the team she said included a public relations professional, an academician, a producer, a blogger, and others who solicit for funds to support the campaign for her win.

According to the 14th bearer of the GMB crown, although, she and her team were rendered incommunicado throughout the 13 weeks of the programme, they had a comprehensive plan to ensure her victory including a crisis management plan to address crises as a when the need arises.
“We had a long conversation, a series of long conversations, we thought about possibilities, we even put measures in place for crises communication so that in case I have offended someone in the past who I wasn’t aware of and they saw me in the limelight and they felt like wanted to come for me, what were we going to do, so we actually put things in place that if this happens this is what we going to do,” she added.
GMB Experience
Speaking about the GMB platform, the Ghana Institute of Journalism graduate said the pageant had given her a better social life and was grateful for the opportunity.
She described the experience as a learning one and exciting at the same time and urged others who have the desire to use the platform to help society to go for it.
