Andre Ayew to become second most capped Black Stars player in history
Ghana captain will become the second most capped Ghanaian player in history when he features against South Africa on Sunday night.
The 2009 U-20 World Cup made his Black Stars debut under coach Claude Le Roy in 2007 making a substitute appearance against Senegal.
The Al Sadd star has become a key figure for the national team since his debut featuring several Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) and World Cup tournaments.
The match will be the Ghana captain’s 100th cap, putting him second only behind legendary Ghana forward Asamoah Gyan, who was capped 109 times in a glittering career that spans almost two decades.
Ghana will play host to the Bafana Bafana at the Cape Coast stadium at 7pm as the West African powerhouse seeks to secure win and progress to the World Cup playoffs.
