Match Report : Hearts 1-0 King Faisal – Obeng Junior’s strike to hand Phobians a hard-fought win
Hearts of Oak returned to winning with a 1-0 win against King Faisal at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.
A first half strike from Kwadwo Obeng Junior was enough to hand the Phobians a hard-fought win
It was King Faisal who started the game very well pushing to get an early lead.
Osman Ibrahim’s saw his effort saved by Richmond Ayi.
Hearts of Oak took over the game dominating possession and creating series of chances.
Kwadwo Obeng Junior finally broke the deadlock of the game on the 25th minute blasting home a shot just outside the penalty box.
Obeng Junior nearly double Hearts lead but saw his shot went wide.
King Faisal were denied by Richmond Ayi in the added time following Enoch Morrison’s wonderful free kick.
King Faisal came back from the break searching for the equalizer.
Mawuli Wayo blasted his shot wide after he was put through on goal by Zubairu.
Obeng Junior came close for the host but his shot went wide.
King Faisal kept pushing and Osman Ibrahim saw his shot saved by Richmond Ayi.
Substitute Kofi Kordzie came close for the Phobians few minutes after his introduction but his feeble shot went wide.
Hearts of Oak maintained their lead till the blast of the final whistle.
