Hearts of Oak defender Denis Korsah makes Ghana debut in Japan heavy defeat in Kirin Cup
Hearts of Oak defender Denis Korsah on Friday morning made his Ghana debut in their Kirin Cup opener at the National Stadium in Tokyo.
The left-back was handed a starting role in the absence of Baba Abdul Rahman and Gideon Mensah, who were ruled out of the game due to various reasons.
Korsah earned a late invite to the Black Stars following the absence of Baba Rahman, who was reported to have contracted COVID-19.
The enterprising defender lasted the entire duration as Ghana suffered a 4-1 defeat to the Asian country in the four nations tournament.
Despite the defeat, the former Ebusua Dwarfs marksman proved his worth in the game for West African powerhouse.
He will hope to maintain his spot in the national team as the 2022 World Cup tournament approaches.
