All Hail the Stars; Fans React to Ghana's first training session ahead of face-off with Nigeria

The Black Stars of Ghana’s first training session in Kumasi received an appreciable level of attention as crowds gathered to observe proceedings.

Ghana’s senior national football team are currently camped in the Ashanti Regional capital where they’re preparing for the all-important 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifying Play-off.

The Black Stars face Nigeria on Friday at the Baba Yara Stadium in what is the first of the two-legged affair.

Upon arrival in Kumasi on Tuesday, the Black Stars team led by Coach Otto Addo embarked on a shake-up exercise at the Baba Yara Stadium later in the evening.

The training exercise albeit not open to the public saw some fans gathered across the entrance of the stadium eagerly seeking a chance to engage or even catch glimpses of their favorite national team stars.

The experience was heartwarming and a clear indication that the stadium will be full to capacity on Friday.

Ghana will train again today before having an open training session on Thursday to wrap up preparations.

The game will take place on Friday March 25 at 7:30pm GMT.
