British DJ and presenter, Tim Westwood has thumps up Ghana Jollof, a popular rice dish in West and Sub-Saharan Africa over that of Nigeria.
According to him, Ghana Jollof has definitely got the upper hand as against that of Nigeria.
Affectionately called Westwood, the BBC Radio 1, BBC 1Xtra presenter who is currently in the country made the comment on TV3 NewDay on Tuesday, April 12, monitored by GhanaPlus.com.
He also noted he loves Ghana’s popular dish mostly eaten on Sunday afternoons, rice balls known locally as omo tuo with groundnut soup.
“I have eaten Jollof since I was a young one. I like rice balls with peanut better soap. I love peanut, I don’t like the palm oil,” Mr Westwood said.
“Ghanaian Jollof definitely got the urge, one hundred,” the celebrated DJ with some 35years experience told the host when quized if he has the same interest for Nigerian cuisines.
Ghana Nigeria Jollof war
Ghana and Nigeria have been at war for years on who actually owns the bragging right when it comes to the African cuisine in terms of taste.
The battle has always gone in favour of Ghana as many had argued Ghana’s own is the best.
