Ghana Health Service calls for the suspension of all matches involving Hearts of Oak for the next week
The Ghana Health Service (GHS) has charged the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to see to it that all matches involving Hearts of Oak are suspended for the next week.
Prior to Hearts of Oak’s action in midweek against Bibiani Gold Stars, the club wrote to the Ghana FA requesting for the game to be suspended due to an illness that had seen a number of players being hospitalised.
With the FA not listening to the club, it ordered that the match go ahead as planned.
With the Ghana Health Service investigating the illness in Hearts of Oak’s camp, it has uncovered that there was an influenza outbreak.
The health service is now calling for all matches of Hearts of Oak to be played in the next seven days to be suspended for the safety of all.
