Vida Essel-LampteyThe National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo has said the party will put together a new manifesto document that will meet the exigencies of the times Ghanaians are living in, ahead of the 2024 general elections.
He said the NDC is tweaking its 2020 manifesto to incorporate current trends.
Mr Ofosu-Ampofo assured members and supporters of the party that it is putting in place strong measures to win power from the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) which he said has performed abysmally in office.
Speaking on the ‘Pae Mu Ka’ show with Yaa Titi Okrah on Onua FM on Monday, July 25, he said “We believe that we will put a very capable team in place.
“The 2020 manifesto, the Peoples Manifesto, that we prepared, we are looking at the changing trend in the world economic order and the national situation in order to tweak the manifesto to respond to the exigencies of the time and current realities, in order to bring another manifesto that will resolve the challenges that we are facing.
“And so the NDC is not sleeping on the front of the organization and the policy front.”
The NDC, he said will do better than the NPP to ameliorate the hardship Ghanaians are going through.
