Kumbungu member of Parliament handed over health facility to the people of Namdu.
The Member of Parliament for Kumbungu constituency Hon. Alhaji Dr. Hamza Adam in collaboration with an international non governmental organization, Qatar Charity foundation has commission and handed over health facility to the people of Namdu a farming community in the district.
Through the member of Parliament
construction of the health facility work began on March, 2022 in the community.
The organization has started helping communities in the country since 2016 and has so far completed over three thousand (3,000) projects in the country, Ghana.
According to the member of Parliament he began good relationship with the NGO in 2021 and always put before them problems facing the constituency.
The District Health Directorate of kumbungu thank Hon. Alhaji Dr. Hamza for his promotion of health for helping his members to easily get access to health care.
He again, thanked the Qatar Charity foundation through the Country Director, Ahmed Adam Mohammed, for their support and continuous response to his call towards alleviating the suffering of his constituency members.
The mp indicated that about eleven(11) communities have been relieved from stress associated with seeking medical care whenever the need arise.
On his Facebook timeline, he also called on the beneficiaries to always make good use of the facility and desist from unprescribed medications since they now have a befitting health centre.
He again called on the government of Ghana, H.E Nana Akufo Addo to stop paying lip services to issues of the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS).
“The National Health Insurance Authority owes service providers in arrears of about one year which is not a good sign if we need to take our health situation serious”.
Holders of the health insurance cards now feel reluctant to use the card for healthcare services due to the poor services accorded them”, he added.
The Country Director for Qatar Charity foundation thanked the MP for having his constituents at heart, thus, convincing the Organization to put up such magnificent health facility within his constituency.
He indicated the readiness of his outfit to extend helping hands to all kinds of people regardless of your political party when the need arise.
He concluded by thanking the good people of Qatar for generously contributing their resources for humanitarian and development programs towards fighting global poverty.
The District Health Directorate indicated that they would ensure constant supply of medical equipments to the facility for effective delivery of healthcare.
