Have a positive outlook despite hardships – Kwame Jantuah admonishes Ghanaians
Mr Kwame Jantuah, a member of the Convention People’s Party while speaking on TV3 NewDay today, Friday, October 14 admonished Ghanaians to be hopeful despite the challenges.
According to him, the country had gone through more difficult challenges than the one currently facing the country but came out stronger and was optimistic this one too can be surmounted.
How do we invent hopefulness – Amaliba
However, Mr Amaliba who was on the programme monitored by GhanaPlus.com said it is impossible to find such hope as he was preaching in the face of hunger and poverty, especially, when the said hunger and poverty is caused by government’s actions and inaction.
“Around this table, I head when you wake up you should be positive and I am telling those people that hunger induced by poverty does not make a sane man sane. Hunger induced by poverty, poverty induced by a government cannot make somebody get up in the morning and be smiling and hoping”.
“There are people in this country who this morning cannot get koko to drink, why? Because a government of today has impoverish them. He talks of shoe polish, Coartem that I bought last month for my wife that was ₵45, when I got malaria two days ago, ₵70, and you sit here and tell me that if I get up in the morning I should be hopeful? Hopeful for where? Why do I become hopeful if the environment is not conducive for me to be hopeful. How do I become hopeful?,” Mr Amaliba said .
“How do we invent this hopefulness so please you are sitting in an air condition studio, there is somebody who slept without food, so please”.
