The New Patriotic Party (NPP) will have a runoff between Mr. Boakye Agyarko and Mr. Francis Addai-Nimoh on Saturday, September 2, to determine which candidate will join four others in the Party’s presidential primary on November 4.
Both candidates received nine votes apiece to tie for fifth place in the Party’s Super Delegate Congress today, necessitating a runoff.
The runoff date was announced during a news conference in Accra by Professor Mike Oquaye, the Chairman of the NPP’s Presidential Primary Election Vetting Committee, after Dr. Serebour Quaicoe, Director of Electoral Services of the Electoral Commission.
