Awards shouldn’t be the motivation for doing music– Moses O.K to Gospel musicians
Ghanaian Gospel musician Moses O.K has said motivation for Gospel musicians must not be the number of awards they receive in their careers but rather they must be proud of the impact they make on people.
To him, Gospel musicians must be concerned about how their songs are able to make an impact on the lives of the people they sing for.
According to him on Kumasi-based Angel FM , Gospel music is a gift from God hence a musician has no business of going extra to make it a hit with the idea of winning an award.
“I feel that for Gospel music God gives you a message and that message has to be your motivation and not the award. So for Gospel, it is God who gives you the message, and you don’t have to sing to impress people”, Moses O.K told Ike the Unpredictable on Angel Drive monitored by MyNewsGH.com.
“You don’t have to sing to gain fame, you sing for his glory, you sing to impact lives. So the focus has to be the message must be spiritually oriented”, Moses O.K said.
