6 inmates at Sekondi Prisons set free
Six (6) inmates from the Sekondi Prisons have been released after their terms of release were met kindly courtesy Biz-More Ventures.
As part of their corporate social responsibility, the gold dealing company, headquartered in Mpohor in the Mpohor District of the Western Region decided to release 6 inmates who could not pay their fines.
This event took place on Saturday, December 10, as five (5) males and one (1) female were released from prison to go back home and be with their families.
The freed prisoners were Emmanuel Mensah, Felix Quansah, Patrick Adane, Seth Andoh, Ebenezer Baidoo and Felicia Ezeman.
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Biz-More Ventures, Mr Bismark Mensah told Skyy News that they have been doing a lot of donations to orphanages but decided to channel their good deeds to the prisons this season after hearing the stories of some convicts.
According to him, they budgeted an amount of GHS 50,000 for this project and they will not end from here.
Emmanuel Mensah, a beneficiary of the initiative speaking to Skyy News said he is very grateful for the initiative because he had no hope he would be out soon.
According to him, his family have tried their best to meet the release condition but all has proven futile.
