9-month-old baby found dead in a pond at Asikafoambatem

A nine-month-old infant who had been missing for three days in Asankrangwa in the Western Region’s Wassa Amenfi West Municipality has been discovered dead.

Akua Ago’s body was discovered in what was considered a fishpond in Asikafoabatem, a neighbourhood in Asankrangwa.

The deceased’s father, Mr. Joseph Ayimberh, confirmed the information to the media, stating that he resided in Bremang with his wife, Rose, and siblings.

He claimed that on Tuesday, October 4, 2022, his wife and their lone child (Akua) travelled to Asankrangwa to shop because it was a market day.

When his wife arrived at Asankrangwa, according to Mr. Ayimberh, she entrusted her daughter to a 13-year-old girl she didn’t know and begged the girl to care for the deceased while she hurried to the market to get some things.
