Chiefs, people of Effutu climax Aboakyer festival with colourful durbar
A jubilant crowd lined-up the streets in Winneba as the Omanhen of the Effutu Traditional Area, Neenyi Ghartey VII and his retinue of chiefs, this afternoon, held a colourful procession and joined the people of the area to climax the Aboakyer festival.
The Omanhen who was carried shoulder high in a palanquin responded to cheers from the roaring crowd amidst drumming, singing and dancing.
Neenyi Ghartey VII who occasionally displayed some dance moves to the admiration of his people was accompanied by some chiefs and elders of the area.
