Drivers who ply Agona Nkwanta

Drivers plying the Agona Nkwanta Ewusiejoe road in the Ahanta West District of the Western Region of Ghana are appealing to the government to help fix the poor state of the road.

The Takoradi to Agona Nkwanta road in the Western Region of the country has a major concern for road users.

The road is one of the busiest roads in the region because it’s the only road that links to other districts in the Western, Western North and even La Cote d’Ivoire.

Thousands of vehicles such as transit goods, haulage trucks, commercial vehicles and private cars ply it on daily basis but the current state of the road has been torn in the flesh of road users.

A section of the road had developed into heavy and deep potholes.

The situation we are told is causing accidents on daily basis, especially the long vehicles and trucks.

A driver told Skyy News, “The deplorable road is dangerous to road users and our lives are always in danger looking at the accident this road causes on a daily basis.”

“The road does not favour the big trucks and long vehicles as they normally end up crushing posing a threat to the other road users and pedestrians, We will plead to the government to help fix the road for us as quickly as possible since lives are in danger.”
