E-Tankas initiative rakes over GHS10,000 for STMA

The Metropolitan Chief Executive (MCE) of the Sekondi-Takoradi Municipal Assembly (STMA) says the E-Tankas initiative, a digital measure to control environmental pollution has raked GHS10,700 Ghana cedis since its inception.

This was made known by the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of the Sekondi Takoradi Metropolitan Assembly (STMA) at the 2nd ordinary meeting of the 4th session of the 8th Assembly.

He said, “So far, a total amount of GH₵10,700.00 has been generated as spot fines from the thirty-four offenders who have successfully made payment. However, there is an outstanding amount of GH₵13,900.00 pending payments from other twenty-eight (28) offenders.”

“As revenues trickle in, I urge the task force to work even harder and forge a much closer collaboration with the office of the Regional Environmental Health Director. Hon. Members, I implore you to report all concerns brought before you promptly for redress by the appropriate authority,” He added.
