Ellembele DCE questions Police officers in his district over missing excavators

The Area Divisional Commander in the Elemeblle district is spreading false information about two missing excavators in the district, the District Chief Executive (DCE) for Ellemeblle, Hon. Kwasi Bonzo has said.

According to him, two police officers were instructed to look after it on Wednesday, August 31, and in the process of their guarding duties, the excavators got missing.

According to Hon. Bonzoh the Divisional Commander is telling all these lies to free himself from what he told him that they don’t have enough men to take care of the two missing excavators which have been published by the media.

Hon. Kwasi Bonzoh emphasizes that on Thursday he went to the commander’s office to question him about the loss of the excavators and he told him again that they don’t have enough men.

Meanwhile at that same time about four police officers were patrolling the town which made him know that the police are not serious about the fight against illegal mining because the excavators were parked just 80meters away from the road.

The DCE further added that he thinks the police are trying to cover up something which is why the divisional commander said they don’t have enough men because after the complaint was logged the divisional commander has not made any effort to the scene to witness it himself.
