The Chief Executive Officer of the Atta-Mills Institute, Mr Samuel Koku Anyidoho has disclosed that fake news portals parading false stories about him have all gone into hiding following his law suit against an aide to the former President John Dramani Mahama, Dzifa Gunu.
Mr Anyidoho in a 10million defamation suit filed at the Tema High Court on January 16, indicated Mr Gunu, a National Democratic Congress(NDC) activist in a Facebook post accused him of making several attempt on the life of Mr Mahama, including visiting a shrine in Benin to kill him.
He also accused him of killing her eight- year old daughter identified as Sitsofe, whom he lost tragically in a car accident in November last year.
Speaking on Okay FM’s Ade Akye Abia programme on Thursday, March 11, monitored by GhanaPlus.com , Mr Anyidoho who had previous complained about some news portals circulating false news about him indicated since the defamation suit was filed, all such fake news portals seem to have disappear adding that he was glad his decision had yielded some positive result.
“We have to clean up this space and I am happy that Koku Anyidoho will be part of this cleaning up exercise and to be frank, I have seen that since this law suit surface a lot of those fake news portals have gone into hiding and I am happy, if I am the one to send them into hiding so be it”.
He explained the defamation case was still on cause and believed he would be vindicated in the long run.
