I don’t have personal issues with Ofori-Atta, am only being a citizen – Martin Kpebu sets records straight

He said all he ever wanted is a better governance which would bring better development and improvement in the life of Ghanaians and that explains his criticisms of the Minister but has nothing personal against him.

“I don’t have any personal issues with Ofori-Atta, no am just speaking as a citizen. We are talking about governance, governance, we want better governance”.

Mr Kpebu set the record straight on News 360 on TV3 on Friday, January 6, monitored by GhanaPlus.com when the news anchor asked him about his seaming criticism of the Minister who happens to be the cousin of the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

He noted Ghanaians had so much hope in the President when he assumed office but all he and Mr Ofori-Atta has achieved is plunge the country to debt and brought untold hardships on the people.

To him, the only thing the two had to show for the time they have been in office is making their families richer while millions of  Ghanaians die in poverty.

“We thought the President could deliver not knowing they came to make their family rich, that all. They came to make the Akufo-Addo and Ofori-Atta family rich and the now the rewards are out there. They have become richer, the nation is in debt and millions are dying that is the scorecard,” Mr Kpebu lamented.

The Martin Kpebu, a renowned legal practitioner in the country has been critical of the Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo led government for sometimes now, most especially, the Finance Minister, Mr Ken Ofori-Atta.

Mr Kpebu who recently revealed he had so much hope in the President prior to his election and even campaign for his election, not too long ago led a demostration calling for the resignation of the President over what he described as bad governance.
